Privacy Policy – MeteoClock

MeteoClock is a weather clock application developed by Obla LLC. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

MeteoClock does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no registration, and no data is sent to our servers.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

MeteoClock saves your preferences locally on your device using standard Android storage. This includes:

• Your selected location (zip code or city name)
• Display preferences (theme, time format, temperature unit, language)
• News ticker settings

This data never leaves your device and is only used to restore your settings between sessions.

3. Third-Party Services

MeteoClock connects to the following external services to provide its core functionality. These requests are made directly from your device:

• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) – Free, open-source weather API. Your approximate location coordinates are sent to retrieve current weather data. Open-Meteo does not require an account and does not track users. See their privacy policy at open-meteo.com/en/terms.
• Zippopotam.us – Used to convert US ZIP codes to geographic coordinates. No personal data is transmitted.
• Bing Daily Image / Unsplash – Used to load background images. Standard HTTP requests are made; no personal data is included.
• RSS News Feeds (optional) – If the news ticker is enabled, headlines are fetched from your selected news source (e.g., Wall Street Journal, Al Jazeera). Only a standard HTTP request is made; no personal data is sent.

4. Location

MeteoClock does not request GPS or device location permissions. Location is determined solely by the city name or ZIP code you manually enter in the app's settings.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

MeteoClock offers a paid subscription managed entirely through Google Play. All payment processing is handled by Google. We do not receive or store any payment or billing information. See Google Play's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Children's Privacy

MeteoClock does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no features that target or engage children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if the app's functionality changes significantly. Updates will be reflected with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
